Our UV Tanning Beds
Here at The Sun Room we are fully trained to give advice on how our sun beds work and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about UV Tanning.

We always maintain a high standard of sun bed tubes which is essential for quality and safe UV tanning. We have 7 fast-tanning sun beds on two floors with lie-down beds, facial tanners, and stand-up beds.

All our sun beds are constantly well monitored - for example the tubes in our sun beds last 1000 hours - we always re-tube these sun beds at 800 hours for efficiency to maintain the high standard for which we are famous for.


UV Tanning and Your Health
Sunlight is the most effective and natural way for the body to manufacture Vitamin D, a substance that helps build a healthy immune system and strong bones, and may even fight off depression and cancer.

Yet, here in the UK, our weather doesn't promise sunshine every day and we are simply not getting enough sunlight to make the Vitamin D we need to stay healthy. Tanning is safe & healthy as long as you don’t burn. Over-exposure will cause sunburn, which is bad for your health. Indoor tanning is best because you can prevent sunburn by choosing the correct amount of exposure for your skin type.

For example, depending on skin type, 5 minutes of unprotected UV exposure, 2-3 times a week is enough to ensure sufficient Vitamin D levels.
